Jost Chemical Opens a New Manufacturing Facility in Poland
The 4,600-square-meter building is strategically located in Kościan, Poland.
Jost Chemical held a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 28th, with Kościan mayor Mr. Piotr Ruszkiewicz and other state and local officials in attendance.
The opening marks the first step in the company’s global expansion strategy. The new plant supplements the existing production facility in St. Louis and will help contribute to Jost’s responsiveness to its growing global market. The opening of the factory will deliver more than 40 jobs over the next five years, with plans for expansions.
Among the 70 attending guests included Jakon, the design/build firm, and other and partner companies who were instrumental in getting the plant up and operational. “This new plant will enhance our responsiveness to the European customers. It is designed to meet stringent quality standards such as FSSC 22000 certification and also features many sustainability initiatives,” said Jerry Jost, president of Jost Chemical.
The facility will produce high purity specialty mineral salts intended for the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, nutrition and clinical nutrition industries. Production will begin in 2020.
