GHS Compliance for Classificiation and Labeling

The US Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) modified its Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) to align with the United Nations’ Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). By law, all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and labels for all potentially hazardous chemicals manufactured in the US must be converted to the GHS format by June 1, 2015. Jost Chemical transitioned to the new GHS format on June 1, 2015.
